About Transbefrienders:

Transbefrienders is a charity in Singapore dedicated to supporting transgender and gender-diverse youths. We provide peer support, community outreach, and educational programs to help young adults build confidence and self-sufficiency.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to enhance our online presence and engage with our community.

This is an unpaid volunteer position with flexible hours ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our mission
Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn)
Manage and grow our social media accounts, increasing followers and engagement
Monitor social media trends and adapt our strategy accordingly
Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
Respond to comments and messages, fostering a supportive online community
Track and analyze social media metrics, providing regular reports on performance
Coordinate with the Graphic Designer to create visually appealing posts
Stay informed about LGBTQ+ issues and events relevant to our audience

Qualifications:

Proven experience in managing social media accounts for organizations or brands
Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices
Excellent writing and communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
Creativity and ability to produce engaging content
Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools
Familiarity with LGBTQ+ issues and sensitivity to the needs of the transgender community
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Time Commitment:

Flexible schedule, ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week, depending on availability and organizational needs.
