About Transbefrienders:
Transbefrienders is a charity in Singapore dedicated to supporting transgender and gender-diverse youths. We provide peer support, community outreach, and educational programs to help young adults build confidence and self-sufficiency.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to assist in managing our team of Befrienders who provide crucial support to young adults seeking our services.
This is an unpaid volunteer position with flexible hours ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruit, screen, and onboard new Befriender volunteers

Manage and coordinate Befriender training schedules

Maintain accurate records of volunteer information and hours

Organize regular check-ins and support sessions for Befrienders

Reports to Volunteer Manager to identify volunteer needs

Develop and implement volunteer recognition programs

Ensure Befrienders adhere to organization policies and procedures

Act as a liaison between Befrienders and Transbefrienders leadership

Qualifications:

Strong commitment to supporting transgender and gender-diverse youths

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds

Strong organizational and time management skills

Experience in volunteer management or coordination (preferred)

Familiarity with LGBTQ+ issues and gender diversity topics

Proficiency in basic computer skills and database management

Time Commitment:
Flexible schedule, ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week, depending on availability and organizational needs.
